1. Nominations for and election of new AIPC officers (absentee ballots were accepted up to October 1, 2002).

- Chairperson nomination: Robert Moore, FEMA, voted in unanimously, 14 votes total

- Vice chairperson nomination: Helen Littlejohn, Dept. of Education, voted in unanimously, 14 votes total

- Secretary nomination taken during the meeting: Jan Jacobs, Census Bureau

- Treasurer nomination: Jane Wilson, HHS, voted in unanimously, 14 votes total

 

2. AIPC sponsored training and other training

- The AIPC training cover letters to speakers should include a brief, general description of what we'd like them to discuss.

- All materials to be inserted into the program folder/registration packet (agenda and program, dance and outfit descriptions, mouse pads, maps, articles, etc.) should be sent to Georgia Madrid by October 30, 2002. Descriptions in the program should describe the sessions.

 MLK and DFEB Spring Diversity Training updates - Tentative MLK date is January 1 2003 AIPC partnership for FAA training session at the Holiday Inn-downtown. They are working with Lori Windle.

3. Action Item: Robert Moore, as new Chairman, is asked to write a letter, or work with Larry Grandison to write another letter to the heads of DFEB agencies requesting that they actively support the AIPC by ensuring that individuals interested in actively participating in the AIPC are the official designated representatives.

4. Next meeting is scheduled for January 14th, 2003, 1:00, hosted by Lori Windle at the Office of Surface Mining.
