- The American Indian Program
Council (AIPC) is a subcommittee of the Denver Federal Executive Board concerned with the recruitment,
retention
and visibility of American Indians in the Federal workforce. Numerous
local Federal Agencies designate representatives to serve on the Council.
Non-designated Federal employees and community members
interested in furthering the goals of the AIPC are welcome
to participate. Please speak with your supervisor. Priorities include:
EMPLOYMENT:
Federal and non-Federal job
opportunities are circulated among AIPC members and often posted on the website.
Recruitment efforts are done by individual members within their own
particular agencies.EDUCATION
:
- of American Indian youth
- of Federal employees
on Indian and tribal issues pertaining to the unique relationship between
the Federal Government and American Indian individuals and tribal
governments.
OUTREACH:
AIPC is involved in various
aspects of the Denver Indian community and continues to outreach to the
national network of American Indian Federal employees.
